The journey was worth the moment

It was windy. Really windy. It had even started to rain. The kids were cold and we felt silly standing on the beach in our white & cream outfits while the morning runners went by in windbreakers. The waves rushed behind us and even the birds were avoiding the beach that day.

We had originally planned to only take portraits of my parents together, but last minute I had packed coordinating clothes for Caleb and Sam, thinking it might be nice to include the grandkids in a shot or two. But the day dawned overcast and windy, with dark clouds lurking on the horizon. No one wanted to walk across to the beach and endure the bad weather, all for the sake of “a few pictures.”

But we did.

And it was worth it.

Hello Friends

Hey there, I'm Megan, a Southern girl married to an Eskimo, living in an igloo in Alaska. Okay, so it's not really an igloo, but we have built one for fun! Still, our little home is filled with life and laughter, kids and a dog. And I share those gimpses into our life, the horror stories and the most wonderful adventures, here on my little corner of the internet. I love connecting with fellow moms and sharing our stories with one another. So from me to you, welcome!
